What Is The Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Constipation?

Husband had cabg 12 wks ago. 3 days after d/c rt. artery graft failed and repaired with stent.
Dx with diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension. all under control with meds, following dietary guidelines, and participating in rehab.
Now having rt. abdominal pain and can hear his stomach rumbling across the room. also has constipation.

Hi.
Noted the findings and history.
The rumbling, what we call as borborygmi is a symptoms of intestinal obstruction. Both have relation to each other. The pain and rumbling are suggestive of intestinal obstruction and I would suggest such a patient to go to ER and get an X-ray of abdomen in standing position. Get admitted - nil orally or allow only water orally till then. X-ray will tell the site of and extent of obstruction.
