I have harsh red marks on my cheeks due to acne. Acne comes and leaves my face with bright red marks. My skin is quite fair and this looks horrible. My cheeks are pink and red most of the time due to this. I dont have rosacea. I have had laser hair removal done on my face. My cheeks have big pores now and they look very unattractive. My doc told me its not because of laser but i feel as if my skin has worsened with laser. I dont want further laser treatments done. What should i do? I live in Pakistan.
I would advice that you see a dermatologist. Your dermatologist might also choose to prescribe an oral antibiotic for inflammatory acne e.g either doxycycline or Azithromycin for 4-12 weeks.
Once daily azaleic acid gel or adapalene gel can be used at night, at the start of therapy along with topical clindamycin gel or benzoyl peroxide gel, over active acne during the day. Azaleic acid works for both acne and pigmentation.
You may begin with a gentle cleanser for face wash e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion.

What Is The Treatment For Acne?
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic. For post acne hyperpigmentation skin lightening ingredients like kojic acid, glycolic acid, hydroquinone etc can be prescribed by your treating dermatologist once your acne is under control. regards
