My adrenal glands were just tested and the results indicated that they can work but are not producing enough cortizol. My dr informed me that the problem must be with my pituitary gland. I have been waiting for my inurance to aprove my endocronology referal for a couple of weeks since the testing was done. Since then my symptoms seem to be getting worse. Some days are better that others. I am experiencing extreme lathargy, weakness, dizziness, my sight turns fuzzy or dark to completley black when I stand up, feeling like I can never catch my breath, leg muscle pains, hip pains, confusion, memory problems, word retrival problems, back pains, headache, nausia, and stomach pains. I sometimes feel like my body weighs 1000 pounds and I have to lay on the couch all day. On days like that I cannot even focus on a tv show, I spend most of the days like that staring at the wall because I can't focus on anything else. At what point should I go to an emergency room, or should I just continue waiting for the insurance company to aprove me to go to the endocronologist to do more testing?
