What Is The Treatment For Breathlessness?

My father is diagnosed with COPD, Micro Aspiration. He was given Deryplyllin Retard 300 twice a day. (Took it for 15 days) I have move to another city. New doctor stopped Deri Ret 300 and have put my father on foracort rotacap 400 (twice daily used through Rotahaler). He is not showing any signs of improvement and still complains of breathlessness at times. We also give him Seroflo/ Asthalin pump when he feels breathless.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your father's situation and problem.
He is taking optimum bronchodilators for COPD.
But still he is not controlled. The most common cause for this infection. He is also having micro aspiration. So possibility of aspiration pneumonia is more in his case.
So get done chest x ray to rule out pneumonia.
And if present, he needs appropriate antibiotic treatment for pneumonia.
Once his pneumonia is clear, his COPD symptoms will mostly control.
So consult doctor and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your father. Thanks.
