What Is The Treatment For Broken Blood Vessels On The Right Leg?

i have a broken blood vessel on my right leg just below my knee, the bulge is the size of a golf ball do i need surgery to remove the blood clot and if not will i have problems with my leg in the future im a 46 year old female, i was in a motor vehicle accident.
