I have a friend who recently fell and broke/bruised her ribs...after several weeks they had not healed. She went to her doctor , obviously concerned he ran blood tests and found some disturbing results ( I do not know all of them ) . I do belive they have ruled out cancer based on one of the tests. They have her on some medication and she is also injecting herself with something that is suppose to speed her healing. She told me today she is starting to show brusing on her body. She is very young and I would like to help her. Any idea what might be going on
As per your case history of bruises on the chest, my treatment advice is - 1. Apply ice on the lesions twice daily. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily. 3. Take an NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil, and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
