What Is The Treatment For Burning And Painful Legs During Pregnancy?

my daughter is 8 1/2 months pregnant with a severe case of P.U.P.P. She went to the er this am because her feet are so swollen open and her legs are burining and painful. She just told me that the redness is going up her leg. I am really worried about this condition. Is there anything she can do?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

At this point in the pregnancy, swelling in the legs can be normal, but it can also be associated with a problem called preeclampsia. Your daughter needs to call her OB/GYN and discuss these symptoms. If her BP is elevated as well, then she needs to have a workup for preeclampsia. The cure for PUPPS and preeclampsia is delivery!
