What Is The Treatment For Chlamydia Infection?

Hi, i am a 17 year old female, and last year i had chlamydia. I have a feeling i may have it again, and yesterday i went to the ob/gyn and she did a culture for it. She told me that if i have it again, i will never be able to have children because my tubes will be 'fryed'. i was doing some online research today and from what i read thats not always true. I am just so worried that by my irresponsibilities i may have destroyed what i want for my future. What are the chances of me being infertile if i have this infection again?

Hey thanks for your faith in the health care magic.i have gone through your question and i understood your problemSince bacteria cause chlamydia, the disease can often be treated with antibiotics. Azithromycin is an antibiotic usually prescribed in a single dose, while doxycycline must be taken twice per day for about one week.
There are other antibiotics that your doctor may prescribe. No matter which antibiotic you are given, you will need to follow the dosage instructions carefully to make sure the infection clears up fully.
Hope I have answered your query. If you like my answers and wish me to answer in future, bring it to my attention
