What Is The Treatment For Cough And Chest Congestion?

hi, my son is 15 months and having cough and now bad chest congestion. Doctor has advised for bricarex and citzine in the night 2. 5 ml. Today is the 5th day and the chect congestion is still there. Also i am nabulizing him with duolin and asthaline thrice day. Please advise.

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should get done chest x ray to rule out infection. And since your current treatment is not having any antibiotic I advice you to start cephalosporin group after consulting pediatrician. And no need to give duolin and asthlin both. As asthalin is salbutamol and duolin is combination of levosalbutamol and ipratropium. So give only duolin 4 times a day and avoid asthalin.
