Fluid Pockets in Outer Ears I periodically get what feels like small cysts or pockets of fluid under the skin of my outer ears, usually close to where the tunnel to my ear drum begins. The area feels very swollen, tender, and itchy, and lasts a few weeks before going away on its own. It's been happening much more frequently lately and I'm not sure why. The itching & discomfort really bothers me, and sometimes interferes with my sense of balance. I would like to know what causes this to happen & how to prevent and treat it so it goes away faster. Thanks!
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have some inflammation in ear and it leads to congestion and fluid like feeling. You should take decongestant drugs like diominic DCA or antihistaminics like levo cetrizine. If it doesn't respond to treatment then examination by ent specialist is required. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
