What Is The Treatment For Diabetes And Leg Cramps?

I just received a phone call from my internist. I have an appt on Friday. Regular check-up. I was told by the nurse not to take any Potassium or any OTC medication until the MD sees me on Friday. The only OTC drugs I take are Centrum Silver, Omega Red, B12 and I eat a banana a day because of leg cramps. I am diabetic. What is he looking for?
