Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir i can understand your concern.
In my opinion for a newly detected diabetes we need to advise him on diet and exercise along with life style changes.
in some patients who are having obesity,Diabetes can be controlled by weight reduction alone
I suggest you to try diet and exercise for 2 months .Try to reduce your weight minimum 6-7% of your present weight.
in case your lifestyle changes fail to control your diabetes then its wise to start medication in a small dose.
Best Regards.
