What Is The Treatment For Discoloration Of Lower Lip?

My lower lip has been discolored for the last five years and I believe and as diagnosed by one of the dermatologists it is due to me constantly biting them and peeling dry skin off. I am very self-conscious about this and I was wondering if a laser treatment was possible for correcting this. Kindly advise Thanks

Hi,

The discoloration of lower lip may be due to bad handling of the lip by teeth and nails. The minor trauma may be responsible for depigmentation of the lip. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Apply tacrolimus lotion on the lip. Take folic acid. Do not bite or scratch the lip. Laser therapy has no role in correcting the colour of lip.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
