What Is The Treatment For Ear And Throat Infection?

hi i am pawan sharma. i am living in rohini delhi. i have a throat irritation problem for last 3 year . i consulted so many doctors and took so many medicines but it doesnot work. this problem also effect my ear. that makes so much nosies on my right ear.so please help me.

Hi,

You have a mixed history of recurrent throat problems for the last 3 years for which you have consulted so many Doctors and took so many medicines but no relief and the other problems is tinnitus in ear.
The causes can be as follows:
Sinus infection causing throat problems and this going to middle and inner ear through Eustachian tube to cause ear problems.
I would advise you the following:
- Consult an ENT Surgeon, senior enough to understand the problems as you have already consulted so many Doctor and were not in a position to have proper diagnosis hence the specific treatment is missed.
- CT scan and MRI as we call this as combo-study for the whole ears, brain and nerves.
- Audiometry.
- Any other investigations as would be advised.
All these would give a proper diagnosis so that a specific treatment for the primary cause as well as the after-effects can be done.
