Hello,

Since you have a history of low-grade fever since a week, it could be Influenza or Typhoid fever (step ladder pattern fever fluctuates from low to very high, until it peaks to 103-104°F.)

You are suggested to visit ER & get physically examined. Get CBC & Widal tests, Urinalysis is done to rule out typhoid fever & Influenza. But if the tests are positive, you will need medicines & also intravenous fluids.

Headache may be due to the low-grade fever or it can be due to undue stress (emotional/physical). Stay away from anxiety, stay relaxed. Take adequate sleep, take balanced meals, exercise regularly.

Cut on alcohol, caffeine & sugar. Your treatment will depend upon the diagnosis made. It looks like tension headache, you may need cognitive behavior therapy & relaxation techniques. Get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
