What Is The Treatment For Fever And Runny Nose?

I have combination symptoms it seems that reflect cold and flu. What in the world do I have? I started out with chills, general malaise, a slight fever and definately something going on in the chest. My fever eventually went up to 101.1, which responded well to Motrin...two days later, it is gone. I still have slight chills, but much better. I also had slight nausea. Couldn t sleep last night because congestion in the nose started, slight stinging and lots of running. Today, my eyes are watery, nose is running and my appetite is slightly suppressed. I am coughing, but the cough is breaking up whereas it was tight in the beginning. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of flu symptoms with cold, chills, nausea, malaise and all.
Since Motrin has helped you, you should continue taking it after food.
I would further advise you the following:
Take full bed rest.
Plenty of oral fluid to keep you well hydrated.
Consult a Doctor for clinical evaluation and some investigations if he thinks so.
Take rest, take care.
