What Is The Treatment For Fractured Kidney?

My aunt has a kidney fracture and I never knew a fracture could exist in a kidney when there is no bone. Please explain what it is and what the treatment is for it. Her body is itchy all over and she cannot sleep as a result. No matter what she takes, it doesn t work.

Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Short answer: Injury to Kidney, waste products causing itching.

Detailed answer:
Thanks for asking.

An injury to kidney may damage the structure of kidney. Some times it is referred as fracture kidney. Any break in the normal texture of an organ may be referred as a fracture. Your aunt seems to have an injured kidney the treatment of which is surgical correction. When kidney cannot function normally it leads to accumulation of waste products in blood. These waste products causes itching. It is treated either through dialysis or will be corrected once the damaged kidney is repaired.

Please consult a surgeon who can handle these kind of cases.

I hope this helps.

If you have any other query, feel free to ask.

Regards,
Dr. Prathap KUmar
