What Is The Treatment For Heavy Bleeding After Taking I Pill?

nullA friend of mine 5th march,she had sex for the first time,the guy did not cum inside,she had an ipill. 10th march-had sex with condom,had an ipill. 12th march-the condom broke,peed immediately,had an ipill. (plz note all the ipills whr taken within 4 hrs of sex) Period was due on 14th march.She has light vaginal pink bleeding since 9th march.period like cramps too.she got withdrawl bleeding also after having ipill. I knw having ipill so frequently is not an intelligent thing to do. Got periods exactly on time.but its been 8 days of bleeding.what to do?? Worried.please help.

hello,

I-PILL gives more than 95% protection against unwanted pregnancy within first 24 hrs. Here, chance of pregnancy is quite low.

Withdrawal bleeding occurs due to effect of the pill and it usually stops within 2 to 3 days. Long time period may be due to hormonal imbalance and she can take Tranexamic acid group of drug to arrest bleeding.

If it is not stopped within few days, she must consult with doctor for clinical examination and investigation.

Practice safe sex. Good luck.
