What Is The Treatment For Leaky Ears?

Hello I've been suffering with leaky ears for some time(6weeks), I went to the ENT clinic yesterday and was seen by the doctor. He put some otocombe cream into my ear and told me to come back next week for it sucked out. Is this normal? I know it contains steroids and was concerned with contact time

Regarding your query for your leakiing ear for last 6 weeks, you had already consulted an ENT doctor, who had packed your ear with a cream containing steroid. Here you have not mentioned about the diagnosis made by your doctor and at the same time what is the condition of ear drum, is there any perforation or not. Therefore now it is very difficult to tell about treatment for your case.

Here in general I am telling you about the causes of ear leak-

1- Otitis externa- discharge may be watery (allergic) or thick yellow green (boil).

2- Acute otitis media- Discharge from middle ear through hole in ear drum.

3- Chronic otitis media- Again discharge from middle ear through hole.

Treatment depends on the Diagnosis.
