What Is The Treatment For Left Side Facial Paralysis?

My husband had polio when he was a child which left him with left sided facial paralysis. Apart from that he has lived a very healthy life. When he was 50 however, he became epileptic and now takes long term medication although he has not had a seizure for 5 years. However, he seems to think that the epilepsy could have come from him having polio as a child, could this be true?
