Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Your symptoms do not seem to be migraine attack. A viral infection could lead to sore throat and headache.
From the other hand a wrong position of the neck or chronic degeneration of cervical column can lead to this type of headache with neck stiffness.

I wold recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical examination and some tests:
- a cervical column X ray study
- blood work (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate).

Meanwhile, I would recommend taking acetaminophen and ibuprofen for some day for a pain relief.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
