What Is The Treatment For Migraine?
I suffer from chronic migraines, 19+ days per month. My doctor prescribed me Fioricet 50 count, with 5 refills back in November and I'm just about out. Am I using them too much? Would I be crazy to ask him to refill it again? I take them as prescribed and they work great. The preventive medications that he has been trying are just not working so I am relying solely on the fioicet at this point. Please give me you opinion.

I have noted your symptoms and feel that you are suffering from chronic daily headaches (more than 15 headache days per month).
In addition, if you use more than 15 analgesics per month, there is an additional risk of developing analgesics overs use/abuse headache. So, you should limit the use of Floricet to less than 15 per month.
You have mentioned that preventive medications have failed in your case. If not tried, you should go for botox injections, which are FDA-approved for this indication.
