What Is The Treatment For Mild Fever And Enlarged Liver?

My mother is 74 years old and has been having temperature between 37 and 39 c for past one month. Malaria, typhoid, viral and urinary infection has been ruled out. We had a CT scan yesterday and in the final impression it states that tuberculosis may need to be excluded as both liver and spleen shows moderate enlargement. Doctor is recommending to start with forecox. There is no temp for past two days - should we start the new tab for tb ?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
If there is tuberculosis then treatment should be at least for 1 months but tb should be confirmed first. Other infectious disease also require antibiotics so it would be good to continue with it.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
