What Is The Treatment For Muscle Cramps And Cough?

This has never happened to me before. the other day i got very angry & my abdominal muscles cramped up. like getting a charlie horse. It didnt bother me for the next couple of days, but now my left side where the cramping was worse, is sore. It hurts when I cough or move certain ways. I think i pulled my External oblique. is it normal for this to be sore for 5 days already?
