What Is The Treatment For Muscle Spams And Contractions Under The Ribs?

For a few years i've been getting extremely painfull muscle spasms/contractions under my ribs its mostly on my left side but I also get the on the right. I main trigger is when I laugh but I also get them if I stretch or turn the wrong way. When it tightens and I have to take very slow short breaths and it will usually relax within 2-3 min sometimes it starts to relax then contracts again. It happens probably once or twice a week, sometimes more. I do have slight scoliosis and had my gall bladder taken out about 6 years ago, no other medical problems that I know of. The pain feels like a contraction when I had my kids but its under my ribs.
