What Is The Treatment For Muscle Twitching And Tiredness?

I have what feels like a muscle twitching in my left armpit. Started this afternoon. Also for last few months have had extreme tiredness and sometimes short of breath. Presumed iron deficient for various reasons. Quite short of breath today with this muscle twitching in my armpit and back. Worried it is actually heart twitching.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there...

Thanks for writing in...

I would like to know your age for a more close to accurate diagnosis or differential diagnosis.

ECG is one of the tests I would advise to rule out any cardiac problems.

Other possibilities are anaemia, electrolyte abnormalities, thyroid disorders etc.

I would advise you to get the hemoglobin, complete blood picture, thyroid function tests, blood sugars, electrolyte levels etc done.

Hope this information was helpful to you.

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
