What Is The Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Eye?

I plucked my eyebrows and noted an ingrown hair. I squeezed it, puss came out and I thought it was over until I woke this morning with my eye swollen closed and in pain. Help. not sure how to treat it. Ive been putting a cold compress on it (ouch) and I just took 600mg of Ibuprofen. any other suggestions? I cant even leave my house like this.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having pain and swelling in the eye.
This is because of inflammation of the glands of the eyelids.
This can be because of hordeolum externum or internal hordeolum.
The treatment of the condition is by use of anti-inflammatory drugs, antibioitc eye drops. Applying hot compression provides symptomatic relief.
