What Is The Treatment For Pain Experienced While Swallowing?

Yesterday I held in a sneeze - my throat popped hard, and it was incredibly painful all day when I tried to swallow. Got slightly better throughout the day. This mmorning it happened again, though I did not hold the sneeze in. It hurts worse than it did yesterday.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain experienced while swallowing is mainly because of laceration of your throat leading to formation of a wound and bleeding due to inflammation of blood vessels and due to inflammation of tonsils in neck area. Tonsils gets enlarged due to bacterial infection due to which you cannot swallow saliva even and giving you symptoms of strep throat. I would suggest you to start with antibiotic such as Azithromycin and antipyretic drug such as paracetamol to avoid fever and infection. Take this course for 5 days. Your symptoms will relieve soon.Do warm saline gargles on frequent basis. Take green tea for opening of sinuses. Do betadine gargles two times a day as well.
