What Is The Treatment For Pain In Throat?

Was playing tackle football and took a shoulder to the throat.. No blood so I kept playing and didn't think much of it just a little pain. I lost my voice/it was weak for a couple days after but then started coming back but there was still a little pain in my throat when I would swallow... My throat never did fully recover and Now almost three weeks later I've lost my voice completely again but the pain is gone. What gives and how can I fix the problem?
Ps.. Within the last three months, I had to take two rounds of antibiotics to get rid of a bad case of strep throat.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Since there is a definite history of trauma to the throat by a shoulder, no bleeding hence kept on playing, followed by loosing / weak voice for couple of days with painful swallowing.
This was the right time to get a proper clinical evaluation, examination by endoscopy of the throat, MRI of the neck to see for internal injury and so on.
Since you have lost a beautiful window period the recovery is going to cause you a problem.
Now that you have lost your voice completely, you can alone can not really do anything unless you follow the things noted below:
- First of all consult an ENT Surgeon immediately.
- Clinical evaluation, ENT Endoscopy, to see what exactly is the problem.
MRI and further tests how the things happened and what can be done.
- Continue the treatment till your are well diagnosed and treated.
