What Is The Treatment For Painful Red Mass On The Left Side Of My Scrotum?

my husband discovered a large red mass on left side of scrotum. its painful when squeezed and sensitive to touch. testes are palpable, and it has what looks like a purple almost vein popping out. the skin is a little wierd to the touch also. were attending his sisters wedding and are out of town. what could it be and can we wait til we get home? also put hot compresses on it.

painful mass is likely to b an abcess .is it associated with fever.
traetment will b antibiotic+analgesic/phexin bd 375 twice a day,
combiflam three times a day. cetrizine once daily. for 5 days.
consult surgeon when u reach home.
