What Is The Treatment For Plantar Fasciitis During Pregnancy?
Hello. Im a 30 year old pregnant with my first baby. I am 25 weeks along and the last 3 weeks have been terrible. I work on my feet for sometimes 12 hours at a time, and my feet are killing me. I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, and have been doing the exercises every day. I ice my feet on a daily basis, purchased a boot to sleep in, and im wearing supportive shoes. Should I consider getting cortisone shots, or would pain medicine be better? I would prefer neither, but I have no choice but to do something, and I dont see that either are good options. Working is a must to pay for my new baby!
You can apply bandages over your feet, do some massage. Increase you intake of Vitamin E and Vitamin C or take tablets for the same. These treatments are empirical but will not cause any harm. It is good to avoid cortisone injection but if it is unbearable you can go for it. Continue using shoes, sit in between with your foot raised at the level of knee.
