I went cross country skiing and during my big toe was beginning to hurt at the nail bed( thinking that possibly my boot is getting small and or my toe nail was too long) Now my nail appears raised and light purple. Swollen all around the nail bed. Painful to walk on and touch. What could it possibly be and how do I treat this?
Hi, From history it seems that due to wearing ill fitted shoes you might injured big toe nail bed giving rise to nail bed infection. Go for one antibiotic medicine course for 3-5 days. Apply antibiotic cream after proper cleaning the part. Ok and take care.
