What Is The Treatment For Red Pimples In The Legs?

Hello doctor, I shaved my legs with my husbands raser one and half years before.in few days i noticed some red pimples appeared on my legs and then it started to bleed and itchy.how ever i went to c a dr, and he gave me fucidin cream to apply three times a day.it didnt work so i went to dr again and he gave me antibiotics then my folliculitis got worse and spread to my whole body.now i dont do anything. How can i cure my folliculitis.can you plese give me an advice. Thank you!

Hello,

As per your case history of folliculitis my advice is:
• nDon't squeeze or scratch the lesions, it will worsen the condition.
• Use a mild antiseptic soap like Dettol and add potassium permanganate in water in dilution of 1:10000.
• As Fucidin is not effective use higher antibiotic cream like Mupirocin cream twice daily.
• Other treatment includes higher antibiotics like Levofloxacin, Rifampicin, Clindamycin given only in recurrent cases only after consultating a dermatologist.
