What Is The Treatment For Red Swollen Foot?

Im a 41 year old female 5'7 and 184 pds. A week ago i stepped on a coat hanger that went in my foot sight swelled and turned red, but after 3 days everything seemed fine. Now that i went back to work when i got home the sight where the wound is swelled back up do i need to worry ?
