Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm having severe anxiety attacks. I get heart palpitations, I sweat, I even shake sometimes. Is there anything that I can take for this? I already see an MFT for therapy once a week, but I don't know what else to do. I also take clomipramine, which helps most of the time, but I still go nuts several times in a week and I am absolutely frightened about it.
I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Panic attacks are basically due to underlying anxiety disorders. Identifying the anxiety disorder can help in managing that anxiety and thereby managing panic attacks. I hope your psychiatrist and MFT are providing you expert treatment. Trust them. Exercise, meditation, yoga, Cognitive Behavior Therapy etc are proven remedies for anxiety disorder. Enquire about these with your MFT. The cure could take time and don't be in a hurry.
You need counseling and psychotherapy. I shall provide you with the required counseling and psychotherapy techniques online, to overcome these problems. Please describe the whole problem in detail and post a direct question to me.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications. Good luck.
