What Is The Treatment For Severe Hair Loss?

My main concern is hair loss. I am S.C. Vanishree, 31 years old. At present i am taking hydrocortisone tablet 10 mg/day for the past 2 years for late onset CAH. I went to an endocrine specialist for loss of excessive and abnormal hair loss, but i was diagnosed with CAH. I have dandruff sir. I lost my right eye lashes completely before 10 years. now also i have only few eyelashes. when i take oil bath, I lose my hands full of hair when it is rolled for the past 17 years since puberty. I consulted many dermatologists, with no relief. Finally, i went to endocrine specialist. My hemoglobin level and other tests were normal, thyroid was normal before 2 yrs. no recent thyroid test. My symptoms are sometimes i feel was sudden cold sensation in my feet, palms, dry eyes, tongue, throat, nose tips etc, dry skin in the fingers of the toes with skin peel, hot sensation in my stomach, excessive anger nowadays and more depression etc. But my dermatologist told that hydrocortisone tablet will never prevent hair loss. she gave me some fefol-Z iron capsule and some other tablet for hair growth. i am taking that too with hydrocortisone, but my hair loss still goes on. Can U please tell me why my hair loss continues? Is there any treatment? Is it due to CAH?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Minoxidil 2% is the only topical medication approved by the FDA for female-pattern hair loss. I find that the stronger minoxidil 5%, approved only for male-pattern hair loss, is very effective in women as well. But it can sometimes increase facial hair growth.
