What Is The Treatment For Sinus Congestion?

Hi, ok so i been having the cold/ flu for about two weeks now and it has not gone away. I have a lot of sinus congestion and it bothers me a lot, i have tried everything, but recently i been noticing that when i pee it hurts.. And i have pinches on the side of my abdomen , what coukd this be im a 20 yr old female

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per query you have cold/flu with sinus congestion which is due to sinusitis which is leading to infection of upper respiratory tract. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay to prevent further complication like lung infection. Doctor may order CT scan ,chest x-ray , allergy test and blood test to rule out diseases like influenze. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 10 days amoxicillin, decongestant nasal sprays and cough expectorant . For now take steam twice a day to relieve congestion , apply hot compresses on chest and do drink glass of warm water with one spoon of honey in it .
