Hi thanks for contacting HCM... Your provisional diagnostic : acute sinusitis or URTI .... It could be viral , bacterial or allergic ... For that investigate with CBC ... If eosinophilia present allergic cause , if neutrophilia than bacterial and lymphocytosis suggest viral infection .. You might need strong first generation antihistaminic drug like benadryl.... Steam inhalation with added eucalyptus oil in hot water useful ... Avoid smoking ... Excess spicy and fried food avoided .... If allergic cause seems more than Allegra M tablet can given for 10 days. .. Meanwhile for stuffy nose , oxymetazoline nasal spray will be useful.... Room humidifier useful if living in cold climate .... If still no improvement in few days than investigate with chest x ray and spirometry. .. Advise : pulmonologist consultation if no improvement ... Take care ....
