What Is The Treatment For Sore Penis?

I just had surgery for a urethral stricture on Friday. The doctor put a catheter in place for 10 days. Every morning when I wake up there is blood at the tip of my penis. Also, last night my urine was a very dark color, much darker than normal, although that seems to have subsided. Should I be concerned? Also, the tip of my penis is constanly very sore.
