What Is The Treatment For Sore Throat And Fever?

Good Morning Docter, i woke up with a sore throat, and it would hurt when i swallow, also my ears keep poping, and i get a fever. This has continued for the past 3 days, and i have had these symtoms before, like about last month but it didn t last as long. Please help.

Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to use a mucolytic such as Mucinex for the cough. If the symptoms continue, you may need oral antibiotics. Meanwhile, I suggest to drink liquids and rest.
