hello, i was at a concert two nights ago and i screamed a lot. at one point i sounded like i'd inhaled helium, but eventually my voice was scratchy. yesterday my throat was a bit sore and i couldn't hum or sing, and the area where my diaphragm would be is pink. Today my throat is fine but that area is still pink and it's uncomfortable to press on. What's going on?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy and scratchy throat which seems to be mainly due to bacterial infection or poor oral hygiene leading to strep throat. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to :-
- Do warm saline rinses several times a day .
- Take ibuprofen and proper course of antibiotics.
- Avoid hot sharp and spicy food substances.
- You should take anti inflammatory medications such as levocetrizine.
- Take benadryl .
Consult ENT specialist (ear, nose, throat) for proper examination. Doctor may order blood test or throat swab test to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe broad spectrum antibiotics like amoxicillin for at least two weeks .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
