What Is The Treatment For Soreness In The Rib Cage?

Hi - I was hit with a ball on the side of my left rib cage playing field hockey yesterday, the place where I got hit is pretty tender but I am also very sore on the front of my ribs all the way on the right side of the left side of my ribs... if this makes sense... I am wondering what I can do to feel better and if I can still continue to jog while it is healing?
