What Is The Treatment For Swelling In Ankles And Loss Of Weight?

My brother is an alcoholic and had been in the hospital a couple of years ago and told he would need a kidney trans plant.He has since continued to drink and today when I picked him up for a holiday visit he looks terrible with yellow skin and yellow eyes and back pain and swelling in his ankles loss of weight and no appetite.He looks close to death ?
He can hardly speak and seems very fatigued.

As it is due to liver failure and kidney failure secondary to alcohol addiction. Go and admit him in multispecialist hospital and you did not mention whether he is on any medication or not? And what are the laboratory results?
