What Is The Treatment For Swollen And Painful Ankle?

Hi, I had a spiral fracture of the fibula 6 months ago and I am still eperiencing some swelling and pain in my ankle. I have obviously been taking analgesia when needed, and I elevate my leg at night. I have a very demanding job (as a nurse), and sometimes I find it hard to work long hours due to the pain. I was wondering if you think physiotherapy would help or a repeat x-Ray, or is it just normal to have swelling and pain 6 months later.
