I'm 39, very healthy and athletic, and broke 3 or 4 bones in my right 3rd metatarsal and 1 break in my 1st metatarsal three weeks ago. I had surgery to repair my 3rd metatarsal and ended up with a plate and 4 screws 2.5 weeks ago. My foot and my toes are still very swollen and constantly tingling with numbness still in all areas of my foot. Are these post surgery symptoms normal within this timeframe?
