What Is The Treatment For Swollen Throat And Dry Lips?

Hi, I ve had warm mouth with dry lips and swelling in my throat for the last week. I went to my dentist for a check up, and she said that I needed a deep cleaning. However, it has progressed to headaches, fevers, and loss of appetite. My stool has now turned green. Is there something else that is wrong with me?

Deep cleanings are recommended due to a compromise periodontal condition. Did your dentist mentioned that you have any periodontal infections present? I have a concern that you are showing symptoms of an infection that is actively spreading. Systemic effects are possible from infections due to teeth or gums. Call your dentist and report your symptoms. You may be placed on an antibiotic. To reduce discomfort, consider taking some anti-inflammatory medication such as Tylenol or Motrin. Record your Temperature and make sure to keep well hydrated by drinking plenty of liquids especially water.
If your symptoms worsen or your dentist does not feel your condition is due to your dental health, please see your doctor for further evaluation. You may have a respiratory infection, sinus infection , gastric disturbance, flu or viral condition that needs a clinical diagnosis to recommend your best treatment. Update all doctors with a full medical history and any recent traveling that you may have done. Seek emergency care if your condition severely worsens.
