What Is The Treatment For The Swelling And Pain In The Knee?

i fell while playing basketball 2 years ago my knee made a sound i felt as if something got teared i stood up and was unable to walk properly i went to the doctor he suggested a 15 days plaster after that my knee became weak thats what i thought and it used get twisted and all while playing but not dat severly yesterday while playing the same thing happened dis tym a bit lesser then the first time but a sound came as if something got broken but i am able to walk there is a little bit of swelling and minute pain what should i do
