What Is The Treatment For The Swelling In The Varicose Veins?

I am 39 yrs. old and my height is 170cm, weight is 72kg. I am suffering from varicose veins since last 1 year. My left leg's veins are not swelling too much but I feel itching, heaviness and tired/restlessness every time. Presently I am using compression stockings and feeling bit relief. But it feels very uncomfortable to wear compression stocking everytime. I can walk properly and can perform my routine works as well. Now, I want to know about the right time for treatment and right way of treatment. Whether surgery or non-surgical treatment is better option. Please help me.
