What Is The Treatment For Thyroid Problems?

hello dr.my wife have thyroid--and she ill interested about any thing --she has low pressure and weight 48 kg --she is 29 yrs ols--our sexual life is also not good--b4 we didn t faced such problems-- iam very much worry about her --we have a daughter of 12 yrs old--by seeing this ,I took him to our nearest M.D Dr. paul and he suggested some medicines----they are as follows-- (i) thyrox 50 (ii) s-vocita 5 mg (iii) neogadine elixir (iv) trodiliv (v) sompraz 40 -----what to do sir --will this medcines work???????????

Hi welcome to HCM....

Your wife prescribed thyroxine (use for hypothyroid) , citalopram (antidepressant drug ) and esmoprazole(for prevention of gastritis by drug )

So here you might have hypothyroidism for which thyroxine given ....

I want to know your tsh and t4 report for giving more comment ...

You are taking 100 ug dose ...It should be adjusted according to TSH level .....

Our aim to is keep TSH level below 5 mainly between 2 to 3 ....

Take drugs regularly and follow up needed in your case ...
