What Is The Treatment For Toe Pain?

I worked a 6 hour shift last night and noticed that my right baby toe started hurting. I thought it was just my sock rubbing on it wrong. When i got home, it was swollen and red. It stayed that way all through the night and is throbbing with pain. I tried to put ice on it and take ibuprofen, but that is not helping.
